Good sales tracking

I used the Multi-Platform Sales Dashboard. It pulled my KDP and Apple Books sales quickly. The data was accurate. Setup was easy. It saved me time checking different sites.

Helped with my book sales

So, I decided to try ScribeCount after hearing about it. I mostly use it for Amazon KDP and Kobo. It was pretty straightforward to link everything up. Seeing all my sales in one place, even with the different currencies, was nice. Made it way easier to see what was actually selling. Definitely glad I gave it a shot.

Useful tool, some minor issues

I started using ScribeCount primarily for tracking my Amazon KDP sales and Facebook Ads ROI. The initial setup for linking my platforms was mostly smooth, though connecting my Facebook ad account took a couple of tries. The Multi-Platform Sales Dashboard is very comprehensive, and I appreciated seeing all my data, including ACX Audiobook Reports, in one place. The Currency Conversion Tools were handy. I also used the Tax Reporting Tools, which was a huge help for end-of-year planning. My only minor complaint is that the dashboard sometimes took a few minutes longer to update than I expected, especially during peak times, but the data was always accurate once loaded. Overall, it's a solid service that delivers on its promises.

So, I saw they have a free trial. Is it a proper 14-day trial where you get all the features, or is it more like a limited demo?

D Danielle Moore 5 days ago
It's the full thing for 14 days. You can connect everything and see how it works with your actual data. No stripped-down version.

Yeah, just make sure to set a reminder if you don't wanna get charged, lol. But it's fully functional during the trial.

Are there any good deals usually around Black Friday? Don't wanna subscribe now if there's a big discount coming up.

R Rachel Mitchell 3 days ago
Oh for sure! They almost always have a Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale. I think last year it was like 25% off the annual plan or something.

Yep, definitely wait if you can. They usually do some kind of big promotion around then. Also look out for stuff during author conferences.

Hey, thinking about signing up for Scribecount. Does it actually pull in all your numbers from places like KDP and Kobo or is it mostly just Amazon stuff?

S Sandra E. 3 weeks ago
Yeah, it pulls from a ton of places. KDP, Kobo, Apple Books, Google Play, even Smashwords and Draft2Digital. Pretty comprehensive.

It's not just Amazon. I use it for my ACX and Findaway Voices audiobooks too. Really handy having everything in one spot for royalties.

Trying to decide between Scribecount and BookReport. Anyone used both and have a strong preference? What makes Scribecount better?

P Paul Brown 1 week ago
Scribecount just feels way more robust. BookReport is okay for KDP but SC pulls in so much more, especially ad spend and other platforms. Makes a huge difference.

I switched from BookReport because I needed something that could track my Google Play and Apple sales too. BookReport was just too limited for me.

Does Scribecount help with tracking expenses for tax stuff? Like, can I input my ad spend and other costs to see net profit?

R Rachel Hall 3 weeks ago
Yeah, it has an expense tracker and a net profit calculator. You can input all your author-related costs. It's super helpful for tax time.
